Two Months Back in Vancouver

Two months back in Vancouver.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous coming back to a city I’ve called home since 2011. I’d been away for almost two years, and those two years changed me in so many ways.

I met incredible people, experienced things I never imagined, learned a lot about myself, and came back with a much better relationship with myself, my friends, and my family.

And now, two months later, I’m really proud of how I’ve been showing up.

I’ve been intentional about reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, putting myself out there, going on dates, nurturing relationships, going to the gym, starting to run, signing up for a half marathon, looking for work—and slowly checking off goals I’ve had for myself.

I’m starting work next week, and honestly, it feels surreal. So many things I manifested and worked toward are slowly coming full circle.

I feel really seen by the universe.

But something happened recently that made me realize there’s still more I want to create.

I had a conversation with someone who wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable, and I really appreciated it. It reminded me how much I love those deeper conversations—the kind I used to have with my friends back home in the Philippines.

And it made me realize that if I miss that kind of connection, I don’t have to just miss it.

I can create it here.

I’ve made new connections. Now I want to deepen them.

I want to be more vulnerable. Ask better questions. Have the conversations that go beyond the surface. Let people know me a little more, and make more room for them to be known by me.

I think that’s what these last couple of months of the year will be about.

Continuing to show up. Continuing to grow. Making space for deeper friendships, meaningful conversations, and the kind of connections that make life feel even fuller.

A life with people I love.
A life where I keep growing.
A life that feels intentional, meaningful, and genuinely mine.

And I think I’m already living it. I just want to keep making it deeper. 🤍
